A man dressed all in green,
The tiniest thing I'd ever seen,
Wearing a lucky charm hat,
He did a dance and then he sat,
To tell his tale of Saint Paddy's day,
Waving his pipe around in every way,
His accent was broken, Irish I believe,
But I listened to it and began to conceive,
I still could not imagine a leprechaun
Was there sitting on my lawn.

New York's first St. Patrick's day parade was held on March 17, 1762.
May the sun shine all day long,
Everything go right and nothing go wrong. May those you love bring love back to you And may all the wishes you wish come true!
