Moonlight Memories
Soft moonlight glints in the shadows
Happy orange faces glow in the darkness,
Small giggling figures, dressed as ghosts and goblins,
Run up and down the street,
Spooky white things with big black eyes hang from trees,
Skeletons dance in doorways
Small black birds hang upside down on dimly lit porches,
Soft moonlight glints in the shadows,
And the wind whispers . . .
"Happy Halloween!"

Halloween is the witches New Year and is called Samhian(prounonced Sow-en).
October's poplars are flaming torches lighting the way to winter.
